The Loft's generosity has helped us keep the tickets at an affordable cost so everyone can join in on the food and entertainment. This high energy event creates a comfortable atmosphere for our sponsors to meet our supporters, for all attendees to mingle and bond, and for everyone to have a great time. A slide show of last year's walk during the event will show the support and success of the day!
These types of events help the NJ HIV/AIDS Community break down the stigma associated with this illness. AND... quite frankly everyone may see that we do a great job on this side of the river, RIGHT HERE IN NEW JERSEY!

2013 NEW JERSEY AIDS WALK—RIDGEWOOD, NJ— Sunday, May 5 2013
Buddies joins four other New Jersey HIV/AIDS Service Organizations to host the New Jersey AIDS Walk 2013. This will be the fifteenth AIDS Walk that Buddies has hosted and our third annual state wide supported event. Be part of ending the affects of HIV/AIDS in New Jersey. 11:00 AM Registration, 1:00 PM Step-Off
The walk is a time to raise awareness and funds for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. People of all ages, ethnicity, and walks of life come together to remember those we have lost and to leave images of our footsteps at the Saddle River County Park walking paths in solidarity for those who still struggle with this disease. We will have the AIDS Memorial Quilt panels on display. In addition, we will have refreshments provided by local businesses and light entertainment by local sponsors.

Walgreens Pharmacy is our state sponsor again this year. They are not only a sponsor but a group of people who care about ending HIV/AIDS in New Jersey! Above and beyond their financial contribution they have created 7000 HIV Centers of Excellence across the country trained in knowledge and dedication to specifically service people living with HIV/AIDS.
They have three HIV COE in the following area: Elmwood Park, Fort Lee, and Paterson. The local stores donate water and give-a-ways and the employees take their own time to raise money, volunteer their services to the AIDS Walk and Kickoff Party. This partnership with Walgreens has helped NJ Buddies tremendously to raise awareness to HIV/AIDS and have supported us financially to continue to provide assistance to our community. So I hope you continue to support them whenever you stop in one of the stores, be sure to let them know how grateful
you are for their support. Let them know that they truly help change the lives of many infected and affected by this disease!
