How can
you help NJB?
Providing education about
HIV/AIDS to those living with the virus and their families, volunteers,
and the general public is a high priority at NJB. We provide
numerous services and try to provide a welcome atmosphere for clients,
staff and friends. How can you help?
Volunteer
- NJB is always in need of volunteers and would love you to
share your particular talent with us. The Center is open Monday
through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Your time, no matter how much or how
little, is appreciated and needed.
Formal classes, conducted by
professional speakers and facilitators, are held on an ongoing basis.
Individuals are encouraged to call the Franklin A. Smith Resource Center
at (201) 489-2900 for class schedules.

AIDS
Walk 2008
Description
of duties: Volunteers needed to help organize,
promote, fundraise and walk in our 7th annual AIDS Walk
on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Contact

Food
Bank Assistants
Description
of duties: Help maintain and upkeep the Food Bank, including
the stocking and sorting of food items, and filling orders.
Food
Bank hours: Monday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; Tuesday - Thursday, 1 p.m.
- 4 p.m. Opportunities open for all shifts. Additional
hours will become available based on the number of volunteers.

Bank
The NJB Food Bank is a vital source in the community
helping to meet nutritional and hygiene needs. We welcome
non-perishable food donations, personal hygiene and cleaning products, and
culturally-sensitive food items to meet our growing Hispanic
clientele. If you'd like a complete list of items you can donate,
